Curse

I want to play Necro or Ranger in PvP but unlocking the skills one by one through faction is just not very feasible so I've created a N/R char currently halfway through Presearing Ascalon. I dont really want to yet again hacck my way through hordes of Charrs. I have about 50 plat available to be used as fund to speed up this char's development.

If you were in my shoes, what kind of equipments would you buy ?

What kind of build is effective for the beginning areas ?

I am thinking about buying a superior rune of <curses / death> + major vigor + minor soul reaping, blood and <curses / death >.

Would buying a good green item make sense ? Would you recommend buying a Bortak's Staff ?

( I guess I will eventually turn the char to N / Me or N / Mo and play MM or SS farming )

Use COLLECTOR's armor and weapons. They are cheaper and do pretty much the same thing.
For the beginning you should probably stick to blood because you have not gotten the verata's sacrifice minion healing skill.

I think you should use minor runes because when you are lower level superiors take a huge chunk o your HP. Save superior runes for when you get Droknar's armor and above, so you would not waste your money or decrease your HP by about 1/4.

Bortak's staff is pretty good.
